Dear Sir,
Perhaps Thomas McAllen (Letters 24th June) could enlighten us all
further as to which of the Christian creeds he recites on a weekly
basis specifically advocate the pagan doctrine of praying to the dead?
Better still, a few good solid Scripture references would not go amiss
either. In the absence, particularly of the former, we are left with
that sad situation of "every man doing that which is right in his own
eyes" (Judges 21:25)
