WHAT SAITH THE SCRIPTURE?
THE BIBLE STATES CLEARLY:
1) JESUS CHRIST WILL RETURN PHYSICALLY TO EARTH:
…this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. (Acts 1:11)
2) CERTAIN EVENTS WOULD…
…PRECEDE HIS PHYSICAL RETURN:
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. (Matthew 24:21)
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn…. (Matthew 24:29-30)
…ACCOMPANY HIS PHYSICAL RETURN:
…and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Matthew 24:30-31)
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17)
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. (Revelation 1:7)
…FOLLOW HIS PHYSICAL RETURN:
…when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe … that Wicked …whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: (2 Thessalonians 1:8-11/2:8)
3) NONE OF THESE FORETOLD EVENTS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE RETURN OF CHRIST TO AMERICA AS TAUGHT IN THE BOOK OF MORMON:
No great world wide and unsurpassed tribulation…no gathering of the elect from the four winds of the earth… no world wide sighting or mourning…no vengeance on the ungodly or destruction of the Antichrist or gathering up of the saints in the air etc., Just life as we always knew it, and will know it, until Jesus Christ REALLY DOES COME FOR THE SECOND AND LAST TIME.
JESUS CHRIST DID NOT APPEAR IN AMERICA AS CLAIMED BY THE BOOK OF MORMON:
THE BASIS OF BELIEVING NEPHI WHO RECORDED THESE THINGS IS FALSE:
"And now it came to pass that according to our record, and we know that our record to be true, for behold, it was a just man who did keep the record - for he truly did many miracles in the name of Jesus: and there was not any man who could do a miracle in the name of Jesus save he were cleansed every whit from his iniquity-" (3 Nephi 8:1)
This is no basis to believe anyone as the verse below amply proves:
EVEN FALSE CHRIST'S CAN WORK MIRACLES:
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many…For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (Matthew 24:5/24)
CONCLUSION:
The Book of Mormon and its story of Jesus Christ appearing to the American Indians is a fabrication, unworthy of any belief. It contradicts the Bible and therefore is to be rejected.
"If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to whole words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ…from such withdraw thyself" (1 Timothy 6:3-5)
