COMING FROM DUBLIN/WATERFORD DIRECTION:
In Dublin…look for signs for N7 or Limerick or Cork or Toll Bridge heading south.
Over the toll bridge still follow signs for N7 or Limerick or Cork
Main road to Cork (about 160 miles)
Coming from Waterford etc., - main road to Cork:
As you come into Cork , you come to a series of roundabouts.
You will drive alongside the river.
Keep straight. DO NOT LEAVE THE RIVER OR CROSS OVER IT.
The road might twist/turn but KEEP RIVER ALWAYS ON LEFT HAND SIDE.
Through a few traffic lights.
You will see a big chapel (looks like Courthouse) on RHS
Pass the chapel.
Through next set of lights. (Keep "straight" (from RH lane) although it is an awkward junction)
River still on LHS.
Road turns uphill to right. River disappears. Straight along.
First main turn on the RHS is at a pub called Annies on one side and (currently) an empty shop on the other
Turn up this street which swings round to left.
Past old prison (tourist site) to T junction.
Turn right and up Strawberry Hill.
Turn left at the top and proceed for about 300 yards.
DO NOT TURN INTO BRIARSCOURT AS WE ARE ON THE FRONT OF THE ROAD.

COMING FROM MALLOW/BLARNEY DIRECTION:
Coming from Mallow. Take the main road to Cork (N20)
Turn off at Blarney on the R617
At first roundabout…turn right and then take the next left (still the R617)
From Blarney Castle Car Park:
Straight out from the car park and down to the end of the street.
Take right and then immediate left out unto the R617…
Follow road through Killard (just a few houses on both sides of the road)
Keep straight the whole way, keeping to the right hand side (main road) of a slight fork in the road.
Uphill to the T junction and turn left at T junction.
Past "Grotto" staying on the straight. (Don't go down hill)
Past grotto…you pass the entrance of Briarscourt Estate on the right hand side
DO NOT TURN INTO BRIARSCOURT AS WE ARE ON THE FRONT OF THE ROAD.

COMING FROM BANDON/KINSALE DIRECTION:
From Bandon, take the main road to Cork City.
From Kinsale, DO NOT TAKE THE MAIN
ROAD AS THIS WILL BRING YOU INTO ANOTHER PART OF THE CITY. Find instead
the R607 (Past the Fire Station) which will bring you unto the N71.
Follow road towards Cork City.
As you approach Cork
City…straight through the first (small) roundabout and take a
right at the second roundabout immediately following it unto the ring
road.
At the first roundabout on the ring road (Sarsfield) take a left and follow road past Wilton Shopping Centre. Hospital ahead.
At next roundabout. Straight across
(i.e., second turn off) and follow road. Through traffic lights until
the next lights. Get into L.H. lane but go straight.
Road bends. Keep in L.H. lane and turn left.
Straight ahead to T junction.
Turn right and follow road up hill
Turn left at the top of Strawberry Hill. We are about two thirds of the way up the hill on the right hand side
DO NOT TURN INTO BRIARSCOURT AS WE ARE ON THE FRONT OF THE ROAD.

COMING FROM KILLARNEY/MACROOM DIRECTION:
Come through Ballincollig.
At roundabout, take the first left.
Follow road (Carrigohane Straight) past park.
At first set of lights, keep to L.H. lane…go straight.
At second set of lights, keep to L.H. lane and turn left.
Straight ahead to T junction.
Turn right and up Strawberry Hill.
Turn left at the top and proceed for about 300 yards.
DO NOT TURN INTO BRIARSCOURT AS WE ARE ON THE FRONT OF THE ROAD.
