CALVINISM INDEX The Free Presbyterian Church is a Calvinistic church and this will be reflected in the articles found below.  Most of them argue defensively for Doctrines of Grace and urge a Calvinism that is at once warm and evangelistic and desireous that at all times, God should have the glory for His sovereign acts in creation, providence and redemption. It is true that some of the articles can be a little more pugnacious at times, but I have tried not to go overboard :-)  Any criticisms of individuals will usually be seen to be in response to their attacks, or more accurately, their misrepresentations upon these doctrines which we hold dear. We are not of that line of Calvinist that feels it must criticise those who take the other view within Evangelism in order to establish our own position. Neither do we regard Arminianism or its watered down version as "another gospel" but we do see it as a dilution of what was taught by the OT Prophets, the NT Apostles and by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
