WHO CAN BRING ME TO GOD?

 Jesus saith unto him,
I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men,
the man Christ Jesus; (1 Timothy 2:5)

A WORD FOR THOSE WHOSE THINK THAT ALL ROADS LEAD TO GOD: Christ uses the singular concerning Himself and in John 10:1 speaks of those who climb up some way as thieves and robbers. Do not be politically correct at the expense of your soul. This alone is the truth that sets men free (John 8:32) Only Jesus Christ can reconcile you to God by the blood of His cross. (Colossians 1:21)

A WORD FOR THOSE TRYING TO SAVE THEMSELVES: You cannot do it. You must keep the Law of God 100%, 100% of the time and current successes (even if possible) cannot remove the guilt of past failure. To offend in one point is to offend in all (James 2:10) Only Jesus Christ who lived and died for sinners can save you.
The reality is that you cannot even contribute towards your salvation. All your works of righteousness (according to Isaiah 64:6) are "filthy rags" in God's sight. Until you see yourself as a totally lost sinner, then you cannot be saved. Jesus said: "They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." (Luke 5:31-32) You need to cast yourself upon the mercy of God and seek salvation by grace through faith alone...."Not of works, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9)

A WORD FOR ROMAN CATHOLICS: With all due respects, you should not seek God through Mary or the saints. Nor do you need one to bring you to Jesus. You can come to Christ direct, and through Him to God for a present, here and now salvation.  Jesus said: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30) He never turned away any that came, but said: "Him that cometh unto me, I will in no wise cast out." (John 6:37) There is absolutely no record in the whole of the New Testament of any one praying to/through Mary. See here for more details.
